Sign Your Period Is About To Begin
If you are like most women, you already have different signs that tell you your next period is near. Usually, symptoms vary among women, but ordinarily, you may experience breast pain, lower belly cramps, headache, mood swings, food cravings, getting pimples, and fatigue
If you have these symptoms and breast pain few days to your expected period, then its a sign. YOUR PERIOD WILL START SOON.
Managing Missed Periods And Breast Tenderness
Following some simple lifestyle tips can alleviate the symptoms and balance hormone levels:
Consume foods rich in phytoestrogens. Loading up on estrogen-boosting foods, like soy, flaxseed, oats, and legume, can help balance hormones and relive pesky symptoms.
Monitor your nutrient intake. Ensure proper amounts of calcium, magnesium, and omega-3 fatty acids in your diet as these are important for hormone regulation.
Reduce stress. Partake in relaxation techniques like yoga, tai chi, or meditation to reduce the negative effects of accumulated stress on the menstrual cycle and breast health.
Apply warm compresses. Using warm pads or compresses on top of each breast at night can gently ease breast pain.
Wear proper bra. Purchasing a comfortable and supportive bra for breast pain can help women deal with pain or tenderness with more ease.
Consider herbal supplements. There are two types of herbal supplements worth considering: phytoestrogenic supplements, like red clover, or hormone-balancing supplements, like Macafem, which nourish the endocrine glands from within to regulate periods and relieve breast tenderness.
What Are Some Less Common Signs Of Early Pregnancy
There are some additional signs of early pregnancy that arent as common. Just like with the most common symptoms, these signs of pregnancy may or may not happen. Its important to remember that everyone is different and will experience unique symptoms.
Less common signs of early pregnancy can include:

Food And Odor Aversions Or Cravings
Aversions to certain foods or odors are caused by your bodys hormonal changes during the first trimester of pregnancy. You may start to despise the way your favorite dinner smells or tastes, or, on the flip side, you may crave certain snacks, meals, beverages or food combinations.
When it comes to cravings or aversions, listen to your body. Its okay to occasionally indulge in late-night ice cream runsjust don’t overdo it. Talk to your OBGYN if youre unable to stomach major food groups like vegetables or whole grains. The two of you can discuss foods that can easily be substituted in.
Why Dont I Have Any Pregnancy Symptoms
I just found out I am three weeks pregnant after doing two tests and they came out positive. Whats worrying me is I absolutely have no symptoms at all. No cramps, no sore breasts, no tiredness, no nausea…nothing.
Is this normal? Is the pregnancy okay?
There are many symptoms of early pregnancy, like morning sickness which is one of the most common symptoms of early pregnancy. Nausea and or vomiting can occur in the morning or any time of the day. This may be associated with burning pain in the chest or abdomen. There may be a bloating sensation of the abdomen, cramps in the lower abdomen and legs as it occurs during menses.
Taste can get altered with preference for certain foods and repulsion towards some foods. Craving can develop for certain foods to the extent that some women develop craving and cannot stop themselves from eating, even inedible items like clay, mud or lime.
Some women can have altered bowel habits, thus developing constipation in early pregnancy. The breasts can become swollen and painful to touch.
Due to the increase in volume of blood circulating in the body, a load is put over the kidneys causing enhanced urination.
Though pregnancy is diagnosed after missing a period, some individuals can experience mild vaginal bleeding in early pregnancy, which occurs due to implantation of fertilised ovum in the inner lining of the uterus. This usually stops by the end of the first trimester, but may rarely continue later as well.

Pregnancy Sign: Lower Pelvic Cramping
Pelvic cramping as an early pregnancy sign? Yep, it can be, according to Nordahl. That might seem counterintuitive, as cramps are super-typical symptoms of Aunt Flow. You were probably hoping that being pregnant meant you could kiss cramps goodbye, but sadly thats not the case. Light cramps can be caused by early pregnancy hormonal shifts and implantation of the fertilized egg on your uterine lining.
Bleeding Spotting Or Discharge
About 15% to 25% of pregnant women experience light bleeding or spotting in early pregnancy. This symptom can begin as soon as one week after conception. You may also experience light bleeding following a pelvic exam, Pap test, or after sex. This is common and usually not concerning, although if bleeding occurs later in pregnancy it can be serious.
Thin, milky, vaginal discharge is normal throughout pregnancy, and it may occur every day that you are pregnant. This is called “leukorrhea,” and it is caused by the extra estrogen your body is now producing. This discharge may be white or clear, and it may have a mild odor or none at all, all of which is normal. This is a necessary side effect of pregnancy, so there is no medical treatment for leukorrhea. However, it may be distressing for some women. Panty liners can help. But avoid tampons, which may cause infections.

Symptoms Of A Late Period And Pregnancy
The symptoms of a late period will be obvious to many women who menstruate regularly. If you were expecting your period, and it doesnt begin, youll know its late. Not all periods arrive like clockwork, and its very normal for periods to occur on a slightly different schedule. Pregnancy isnt the only thing that can cause a late or skipped period. But if youre wondering whether your missing period might mean youre pregnant, you can look for other early symptoms of pregnancy. During the first 8 weeks of pregnancy, many women experience:
During the first trimester , your body produces large amounts of a hormone called progesterone. This can make you feel sleepy. Even during the first week after conception, you may feel more tired than usual.
Implantation bleeding is one of the earliest signs of pregnancy. It is very light bleeding, often called spotting, that happens as a result of the fertilized egg implanting to the uterine wall. Implantation is usually 6 to 12 days after conception, or the moment the egg is fertilized by a sperm.
Some women also have mild abdominal cramps during implantation. Other women dont notice any symptoms with implantation.
3. Breast Changes
You may see changes in your breasts as early as 1 to 2 weeks after conception. Your breasts may be swollen and tender to the touch. You may have soreness or a feeling of fullness in your breasts.
5. Missed Period
Two Types Of Missed Period
In medicine, a missed period is called amenorrhea. Physicians categorize amenorrhea in two major types: primary amenorrhea and secondary amenorrhea.
Primary amenorrhea is a condition in which a female older than 15 years of age has never had any period, i.e. her periods have not started yet. The reason can be genetic or due tocertain diseases.
Causes: Lack of presence of uterus from birth, immature development of uterus and genetic abnormalities are some of the common causes of amenorrhea.
A condition in which the female is not having her periods from past three months or more is categorized as secondary amenorrhea.
Causes: The causes of secondary amenorrhea can be various, including polycystic ovaries , underweight, anxiety and stress, tumor of pituitary gland, etc. It can also mean pregnancy but it is noteworthy that no period, not pregnant can also be the case.

A Missed Period And Light Bleeding
A missed period is probably the most well-known pregnancy symptom, and the one that most often prompts women to take a pregnancy test. If your period is late or doesnt come at all, you may be pregnant.
But newly pregnant womenone-third to be exactmay have whats called implantation bleeding, or bleeding that is lighter, shorter and spottier than a regular period. When you become pregnant, the fertilized egg latches on to the uterus lining and embeds itself, which initiates the pregnancy. The movement may cause light bleeding a few days before your period is supposed to start. And while the amount differs from woman to woman, implantation bleeding is typically pinkish or dark brown in color. It will likely occur for a few days to a few weeks.
Brown recommends that all women track their menstrual cycle, especially if they are trying to get pregnant. You can use a regular calendar, or one of many phone apps. These apps can help you see what a normal menstrual cycle looks like for you, including how long it is and how heavy your period is. They can also anticipate your period and ovulation days for the months to follow, says Brown. I think this is really helpful for patients who are trying to get pregnant. It can help them track when theyre most fertile.
When Is It Too Early To Test
It depends on the test. Some tests are sensitive enough to detect hCG in your urine . Read the instructions on the pack to understand what the brand of test youre using means by early detection. Some women still prefer to test on the day they expect their period, when all home pregnancy tests claim to be over 99% accurate.
Conception usually happens around two weeks before your period would normally be expected. If youre trying for a baby you can use an not only to know your peak fertile days, but it will inform you about your cycle, so you know when its best to take the test. This can help you feel more confident in the results you see.

Food Cravings Or Aversions
Does the sight of something you normally love to eat make you suddenly want to vomit? There is little scientific evidence between smell sensitivity and food aversions, but one study did find a correlation between pregnancy and a heightened sense of smell. So, those stories you hear about pickles and ice cream may not be so far-fetched as you may think.
Sore Boobs Before Period/bfp
Does anyone here get sore breasts a few days after ovulation until their period arrives?
If this is a symptom for you do you also get this before your BFP?
Its so frustrating as I have sore breasts every single month so I know itll never be an indication Im pregnant or not.
I am 2dpo and have sore breast but could be ovulation symptoms or hormones. Hope someone can give you a positive answer!
My soreness usually kicks in around 4DPO and intensifies until my period. Its frustrating
yea, I am now 4 dpo and still have sore breasts. Very frustrating!
Welcome to the club lol this is me every single month! I dont think theres a clear answer on this one. Some posts I read people say its a hormonal imbalance and others say its just a good sign of a strong ovulation. For me I know it has to be progesterone related because it only ever happens once I ovulate which makes sense to me. Plus Ive heard that Clomid which is supposed to give you a really strong ovulation often makes womens breasts hurt right after they ovulate. So honestly who knows lol its just a guessing game and our bodies are weird as hell
I’ve been having trouble conceiving for a few years now and this started happening at some point during my time TTC.
I did fall pregnant in February though and my boobs hurt a lot, very similarly to how they hurt before AF… So I’m the same, I can’t take that as a possible symptom

Other Symptoms Of Pregnancy
There are other symptoms of early pregnancy you might experience, including:
- Youre bleeding, but only slightly. For some women, an early symptom of pregnancy is spotting. Its called implantation bleeding, and it happens about 10 to 14 days after conception when the fertilized egg attaches to the uterine lining. This kind of bleeding doesnt last long, and it usually happens around the time youd normally have a period. This can be misleading. The difference is that implantation bleeding isnt typically as heavy as menstrual bleeding.
- Youre having mood swings. If youre feeling particularly emotional or find yourself bursting into tears, it can be a result of pregnancy hormones.
- Youre constipated. Its not comfortable, but a sluggish digestive system is another hormone-related issue that some women experience during pregnancy.
- Youre experiencing backaches. While lower back pain can be a problem for the length of a pregnancy, some women notice it very early on.
- You need to use the bathroom more frequently. Somewhere between six to eight weeks after conceiving, you may find that you have an increased need to urinate, but dont feel any pain or urgency.
While all of these symptoms can be signs of early pregnancy, they can also mean something else altogether. The reverse is also true: You may have none of these symptoms, but be pregnant.
A missed period can also be unrelated to a pregnancy. It could be due to:
/7sore Swollen And Tender Breasts
SORE, SWOLLEN AND TENDER BREASTS: If you experience that your breasts are becoming extra sensitive to any type of touch, its a sign of pregnancy. This is due to the reason that during early stage of pregnancy, blood flow to your breasts increases, making the breast tissues more sensitive and swollen. If you are pregnant, chances are you will feel breast soreness and not just swelling or tenderness, which may also happen during PMS.

Breast Pain In Early Pregnancy Vs Breast Pain As Pms Symptom
The symptoms of early pregnancy are very similar to the symptoms of your regular period. So how do you tell the difference?
Short answer: Its not always possible. This is especially true if youre someone who typically experiences breast pain during PMS. Again, we have hormones to thank.
Because your hormone levels drop before you get your period, breast pain is a very common symptom. The best way to tell the difference is to see if your period comes or take a pregnancy test. If you notice one or two days of light spotting, but no normal period, this could indicate implantation bleeding and pregnancy.
